Not So Fast, Eclipse

Just as the huge Eclipse love-in was getting started around here ...

Eclipse goes and eats my Ruby files.

I did an automatic update of Aptana and everything else that was available under "Help -> Software Updates" because I'm hoping I can get a HAML editor one of these days from Aptana. They've said it's coming.

Anyway. After the upgrade, I find I can't open any .rb files in the code editor. I get this lovely exception

Java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Not supported yet.
 at org.jruby.ast.Node$1.getStartOffset(Node.java:75)
 at org.rubypeople.rdt.internal.ti.util.ClosestSpanningNodeLocator.nodeSpansOffset(ClosestSpanningNodeLocator.java:72)

I had to do the "Revert Configuration" option back to a month ago and slowly work forwards to the last good set.

Of course, as I'm writing this blog post, I go and read the Aptana forums about the HAML editor, and the last comment from Yardboy says:

I see an optional HAML/SASS editors item in the latest update, but since the latest update is broken I'm left here wanting.

There you go -- shoulda looked first.
